Nikola Tesla

I came across this page on ‘Earth We Are One’ today:

“Nikola Tesla is the most unappreciated scientists, inventor and researchers to ever live on our planet. He was responsible for coming up with the idea of the Alternating current and AC motor still in use today. In fact, over 90 percent of his inventions are being used today or are parts of other end products of the 21st century. Tesla’s High-Frequency generators and transformers are still used today, and he is the inventor who came up with the Radio and Antenna mast long before Marconi and Popov.”

nikola_teslaHe created a transmitter that could send millions of watts of electricity over distances without wires. He developed an early fluorescent lamp in the 1890s, more than fifty years before they came into use.

He also apparently harnessed lightning and claimed to have been in touch with extraterrestrials.

His fields of interest were Electricity, Magnetism, Harmonics, Physics, Extraterrestrials, History, and Free Energy.

In short, he was a visionary. He was before his time. However, he is largely missing from the history books, (though there is plenty about him on the web).

He was passionate about Free Energy, and believed he could supply it to the world. Could that be why he was ‘suppressed’?

More about this extraordinary man

A quote of his that I particularly like:

“The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.”

Sounds of Early Morning

I woke this morning to the usual sounds.

We’ve frequently chosen to live in or near little villages. In Scotland at Tynron, where our view was across the tumbledown wall to the hills beyond. In Herefordshire at Bromyard where we enjoyed a Damson orchard and then in Gloucestershire at Lechlade where we were right next to the River Thames near its source. All were quiet, the silence only quietly disturbed now and then.

In our Cypriot village, life starts early in the morning, especially in the hot months.

But today I amused myself listening to the sounds of village life in Cyprus, rural indeed. It’s easy to feel more connected to nature in this environment, easier to feel the heartbeat of the planet and our connection to All That Is.

Share my early start with me here

goodvibes_grad300Settling in to our new life in Cyprus, we are beginning to make connections with like-minded folk.

Two people told us of Michael’s group which meets outside Paphos on Wednesday evenings. Called Good Vibrations, it attracts people from all cultures and age groups who are interested in expanding their horizons, their consciousness, and growing in spiritual understanding. We have been going now for several weeks and I’ve just given my first talk there.

How wonderful it is to be giving talks again! I really enjoyed the sharing of ideas. This time I used a presentation to keep me on a chosen path, rather than allow too much deviation from the intent of the talk.

I’ve set up a Good Vibrations Cyprus Blog which you can find at  More about my talk there, as well as other speakers and upcoming speakers.

Serendipitous Synchronicity!

stgeorgesWe never meant to visit Cyprus, never mind move here!

It crept up on us, the way these things do. It was not planned, was not even consciously conceived as an idea, but friends had bought a holiday home and generously offered it for us to have a break. I have to admit I was reluctant. Cyprus just was not on my horizon. It had never called to me as other places had. I was actively researching a possible trip to India when Cyprus came in on the horizon.

David loved it, I liked it. On the third visit within eighteen months, the seed was sown while wandering along the shops down near the harbour we first caught sight of homes for sale.

But it was the other things that happened. Interested as we are in alternative and spiritual things, I had wondered if there was a ‘spiritual’ side to the island. We discovered a Mind Body Spirit show at Limassol, found showing a significant list of therapies available, discovered the Zening Resort at Latchi and met a shaman. There was certainly enough going on here to interest us.

As we flew back to the UK we laughed at the idea of a move; “We wouldn’t would we?” No, well maybe, perhaps. After all, David is English through and through, like a stick of rock it is written within him. I never imagined he would choose to move to a Mediterranean island. It is me who had always dreamt of it.

It took just two weeks. It felt as if the island chose us rather than us choosing it. We were bowled along at such a rapid pace. I spent the summer looking at properties on the internet and when we landed in September last, we had a list to view. We knew it was ours the minute we saw it on the second day after landing and on the third day, we made it ours.

Serendipity means a “fortunate happenstance” or “pleasant surprise”

Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events as meaningfully related

Paris – city of Magic

Last night we watched ‘Midnight in Paris’. I had needed something easy relax to and I imagined a stroll through the streets of Paris would be ideal.

Annee in Paris circa 1982

A successful Hollywood screenwriter is struggling with his first novel and is in the romantic city with his fiancé. Walking the streets alone one night, he accepts a lift – and finds himself back in time to the 1920s, the very period he has been drawn to. Here he rubs shoulders with great men of the time, as one after another of the city’s famous folk shake his hand.

I must admit to finding the character a little irritating, but that apart, the clever twist in the story is that this is not the only time period he could choose to go back to. And he sees that every age is the ‘Golden Age’ for somebody, looks more alluring from outside than inside.

For those of you who are with me, you’ll have made the connection already. We are, right now, in l’Age d’Or! It’s not tomorrow and not yesterday, it is here and now, what we make it.

Make it Great! We are each co-creating our reality individually and collectively. Let’s imagine we can make this the decade that will go down in history as the one that marked the end of all the things we do not need to take forward: war, poverty, famine, discrimination etc and the start of all good things; sharing, kindness, sustainability, Love.

I just spent time with Ellen Watts of ElleRich Training.

Elle is a keynote speaker and a business coach. She is author of Cosmic Ordering Made Easier, which is something I am very interested in. Elle is herself a remarkable testimony to the effectiveness of the system and her book is full of stories of her experiences along with those of other people who she has coached.

Then Elle sets out clearly the steps to take to make simple, focussed and effective Orders to place before the Cosmos. How not to stand in your own way, finding your limiting beliefs is important.

I suggest getting the book! Her website is at

Something Wonderful happened to me

Something wonderful happened to me. I experienced freedom, liberation and joy!

I felt I was a girl again. I saw myself as I was at 20 or so, moving more freely than ever I think, with delight. I was with a group of people I had not met before and music was playing. We moved as we felt moved to move! First gently with flowing movements, now staccato, then chaos, now lyrical and finally stillness.

I discovered Five Rhythms! This is for me!

Something extraordinary happened today

We found a key. But to explain the significance I must go back a little.

We have a friend who is a French polisher and antique furniture restorer. He has a vast collection of keys in his possession and from his long experience, can frequently put his hand on the right key for the right lock.

When I bought an oak sideboard on ebay it had a missing key, so naturally the person to ask was the above-mentioned friend. Today he came with his old biscuit tin full of small keys; Victorian keys, Georgian keys, short barrel, long barrel, every type of key you could imagine and lots that you could not. After a bit of rummaging around he found a key that he liked the look of and tried it. The lock turned but was stiff, and the key was difficult to get in an out. Little bit of filing, and it seemed better, smooth enough for the job.

dads_keyThen it didn’t. It was stiff again. So back to the box, tipping them all out this time looking for something similar.  A shiny one caught his eye, and key presto! It was smooth and perfect for the job.

He looked at me. I looked at him. ‘What?’

‘That’s one of your Dad’s keys.’

‘How do you know?’

‘They were on a ring. Remember? And there’s a little tag. Don’t you remember giving them to me when your Dad passed away?’

And yes I did. And to prove it there was the little tag, bearing the symbol of Libra, the astro sign for both my Mum and my Dad. I swear I could hear my Dad’s chuckle. Just another proof for me that our loved ones never leave us. It’s over seven years now since he disappeared from this reality, and getting on for two since my Mum joined him, dancing through the stars.

The Horse Boy

IFWhat a lovely story!

A friend lent us this DVD. I had no idea what it was about but found that is a story of how a young couple with a severely autistic boy make an incredible journey.

Rupert Isaacson is a keen horseman and would love his young son to ride, but has kept him away from horses out of concern for his safety. When one day he rests the little boy on the back of Betsy, both child and horse are calm and peaceful. He immediately recognises that there is some kind of link, a direct line between them, and wonders what kind of healing is available that would combine horses and healing.

The journey is to Mongolia to see the shamans.

Well worth seeing, but that’s not the end. The Isaacsons set up a foundation to bring the healing effects of horses to autism families. There are organisations in both the UK and the USA. and

I’ve immediately bought the DVD both for enjoyment and as a gesture of support. If you know anyone who could benefit, please direct them to the relevant site.
